This study aimed to implement mindful eating (ME) among university students and examine the content and effectiveness of their efforts. A total of 222 university students (66 males, 152 females, and four others) worked on ME homework assignments, of which 129 (40 males, 87 females, and one other) participated in the questionnaire survey. A text-mining analysis of the free descriptions’ content suggested that the participants experienced positive sensations and feelings when engaging in ME work. When the Eating Well-being Scale was used to compare before and after results; scores on the overall scale and “positive feelings about eating” factor were significantly higher after the work. Regarding factors related to food well-being, we found areas in which a short program can be effective and areas that are difficult to address in a single session.
