We have presented the case study of the new air-conditioning system suited for the hot and humid climate surroundings specific to the summer in Japan. This system has the ability to substantially decrease the humidity of the atmosphere without decreasing the temperature to provide the physical well-being in a room by controlling both the latent and sensible heat by the air-conditioning load.
With the assumption that the load regulation of the latent heat would be non-regular with the laboratory model, the system controllability was examined and the system requirements that should satisfy the target figure were sought. In addition, the energy-efficient performance using the natural energy is at the evaluating stage.
Moreover, in order to pick up possible problems in implementing this system, the model system was installed in the demonstration house.
