Some offices have indoor environmental quality (IEQ) related problems such as space, indoor air quality (IAQ), office workers' thermal comfort, productivity and mental stress. As is well known, some foliage plants have effects of humidity control and VOC removal from indoor air, improvement of productivity and reducing workers' mental stress as well. The objective of this study is to examine the effect of indoor plants on physiological/psychological responses, and to demonstrate the mental healthcare for office workers.

乳幼児を持つ家庭2件を対象として、熱空気環境に関する実測調査を2014年夏季に実施した。測定の結果、熱環境については、居住者がアレルギー症状を持つ住宅A邸において、アレルギー症状を持つ居住者のいない住宅B邸に比べて、室内の相対湿度が特に寝室で高いこと、また、居間における一日の最大上下温度差はA邸では1.3℃、B邸では0.9℃を示したものの、快適範囲の3℃以内であったが、A邸では冷房時の寝室の床上0.1m温度が低いことがわかったので、乳幼児の熱環境としては配慮が必要である。一方、空気環境については、化学物質の気中濃度は2件とも厚生労働省の指針値以下であったが、A邸において、室内浮遊真菌濃度が1000CFU/m^3以上、室内二酸化炭素濃度が最大1600ppm以上と高い実態が明らかになった。浮遊真菌濃度は室内相対湿度との関連が見られ、また二酸化炭素濃度は機械換気設備の運転状況との関連が見られた。

愛知県にある高断熱高気密戸建住宅1軒を対象とした温熱環境とエネルギー消費量に関する1年間にわたる実測を実施し、愛知県の高断熱高気密住宅における一般家庭の温熱環境とエネルギー消費量の実態を明らかにした。その結果、以下の知見を得た。(1)冬期に外気温度が低下した場合にも居間の室内温度が13C以上に保たれていることや、上下温度差が3゜C以内であることなどから、温度の快適性は高いと評価できる。しかし、相対湿度に関してはその快適範囲と比較して、居間において、冬期には低い傾向が、夏期には深夜から明け方にかけて高い傾向がみられた。(2)電気(2次換算)とガスの年間エネルギー消費量はそれぞれ31GJ/年と26GJ/年であり、年積算エネルギー消費量は57GJ/年であった。これは愛知県の他調査と比べ1.3倍多かった。ただし、単位床面積当たりの消費量は他調査とほぼ同程度であることから、質の高い温熱環境が効率良く形成されていると言える。

A questionnaire survey on the residential energy consumption and energy conservation behavior of student single household was conducted in winter of 2007. In this survey, both 120 single households and 65 family households of all 185 respondents were investigated. The following conclusions were drawn: 1) The possession and frequency of using appliances, single households tended to spend less time for cooking and housework activities than family households. 2) The tendency of single households to show preference on energy conservation behavior varied from that of family households. 3) The annual energy consumption of single households ranged from 5 to 20 GJ/year.
